Empowering With A Strong Commitment to Compassion and Empathy

Working with

Therapy and Sounds

Therapy and Sounds is here to offer experiences devoted to inner wellness and personal growth.  We are offering inspiring events and experiences, where you will be encouraged to relax, take space, be seen, and develop deeper self-understanding. Facilitating holistic well-being by providing individuals with the tools, support, and knowledge to live more balanced and fulfilling lives through Integrative Psychotherapy, Coaching, Sound Bath Therapy, and Sharing Circles.

Therapy and Sounds believe to truly understand the self, is to be able to think and behave in authentic ways, creating synchronicity between the head and heart to reveal clarity. If we can leave behind the masks that others have helped us to create and the ones which make us feel safe, we can begin to build a solid self-concept and self-esteem. When this is activated, we find that decisions come easily and confidence spirals upwards.

Lisa's Coaching Approach

Positive Intelligence Quotient

Lisa uses the highly effective PQ (Positive Intelligence Quotient) approach, developed by Shirzad Chamine. It is a framework used in positive intelligence coaching to help individuals strengthen their mental fitness and shift from self-sabotage to a more empowered mindset. At its core, PQ measures the balance between your inner Saboteurs—those negative thought patterns that hold you back—and your inner Sage, the wiser, calmer part of you that handles challenges with clarity and resilience.

We all have Saboteurs, such as the Judge, the Pleaser, or the Avoider, which can quietly influence our thoughts, behaviors, and decisions. The PQ approach helps uncover these internal patterns, often bringing powerful realizations about how they impact our work, relationships, and overall wellbeing. By recognizing and weakening these Saboteurs, and instead activating our Sage brain, we can take meaningful action toward our goals with greater confidence, focus, and peace of mind. It’s a transformative approach that creates lasting change from within.

Sound Bath Therapy

Lisa’s CMA accredited Diploma in Crystal and Himalayan Bowls, allow her to uphold the highest of professional practitioner standards, along with an understanding of the research and evidence behind the safe and effective use of sound resonance. Lisa uses a mix of her training and intuition to select bowls with various frequencies, to help encourage freedom from emotional, mental and physical anguish.

Sound Journeys

Some sessions will have a theme and once there is an understanding of the group needs request can be made. For example, sound work may focus on confidence and self-esteem; self-expression and personal power; relationships and forgiveness. There is also an element of sound healing which can impact the chakras positively.

Lisa will also include voice toning and her hand pan when guided to. Like the sound bowls, this is a special yet unique experience, where sound reverberations also act in service to establish equilibrium, for the mind, body and soul.

Sharing Circles

Sharing Circles with coaching, is like Real, True and Honest Sisterhood but with a Difference.

A chance to be seen and heard, understood and comforted. An opportunity for all emotions to be given appropriate space and then find joy on the other side. Groups then can work in a way that women find renewed perspective, self-compassion and worth to create the lives they’ve created, as the woman they want to be!

What to Expect?

You will be offered a safe space to share your experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Evidence has shown that this emotional support is crucial for mental health, providing comfort and reducing feelings of isolation. Knowing there are others who genuinely care and understand can be incredibly empowering. Lisa will guide the group and model aspects of group sharing. Sisterhood is a bond that goes beyond being family. It connects women to each other and in its most magical manifestations, allows each woman in the sisterhood to thrive in ways she could never do on her own. Sisterhood provides a safe space for your truest self to emerge.

Why Join?

Yalom, (2010) arguably, the pioneer of group process said, the ‘The act of revealing oneself fully and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of help.’ And that, ‘Self-awareness is a supreme gift , a treasure as precious as life. This is what makes us human.’ By combining these key concepts with a coaching model, Lisa has facilitated many groups over many years, supporting people to overcome emotional and psychological difficulties. The group also provide a strong supportive and empathetic network of compassionate sisterhood, fostering grown, esteem and self-empowerment.

Sharing Circles Are Not

A women’s sharing circle is not therapy. It is a connected network of women.  From ancient times to the modern era, women specifically have formed tribes, communities, and sisterhoods to share experiences, uplift one another, and navigate the complexities of life. Come and join our tribe.
